Exploration of Modern knowledge based Approach for CBIR Systems: a Review

in this paper, we discuss use of knowledge and knowledge base approach in content based image retrieval. Appling knowledge base method in content base image retrieval system, we target semantic gap between actual result and human perception as per query. Knowledge base technology has become an established technology. Different requirements count nowadays when developing knowledgebased solutions for image retrieval. The knowledge base contains "domain knowledge," which normally provided by human experts or end user in query. Even modern content based image retrieval system researchers work on semantic gap reduction crisis. Many different techniques are invented to solve this problem. In this paper, we present use of knowledge base method in CBIR to reduce semantic gap. Knowledge is present in semantic features that are learned from different learning methods. Hence, improve performance of content based image retrieval system, we need to reduce semantic gap between low level features and high level semantic features. With the help of knowledge based approach, knowledge based CBIR address and solve problem of semantic gap in image retrieval.
